Willpower can only go so far… Most people try to get to their ideal weight or ideal health by deprivation, willpower, and a strong commitment to “I’ll beat this” attitude. But trying to beat your body with mind power alone may be more painful than a

gallstone attack. Instead, you need to learn about the system s and actions that influence your health; environment, stress levels, hunger, satiety, fat storing and fat burning so that you can fine tune your body to run on autopilot and takes you to your ultimate destination: A Healthy, Fully Functioning, Strong Body!!

I know its tough to hear but “you are what you eat”. What you eat has a huge effect on your health. Most people I know would like to shed a few pounds but no matter how many diets they seem to go on, the weight returns. One of the reasons why most so-called diets fail is because of a psychological and behavioral flaw that many dieters have. We desperately want to believe the simple, comforting promise s that diets make—that by doing the A “diet of the day “, it will always get us to B, permanent weight loss. The reality is that rarely do we get B. Then we get frustrated and angry and give in to the “forbidden” awful foods that typically come beautifully packaged in a bag, box or can… and has so many food additives and flavoring we crave them. In many cases, these additives and added flavors are highly addictive. All of the systems, organs, muscles, cells, fluids, hormones, and chemical have different jobs they must perform so that you can do the activities you desire. Your body will respond to the stimulus you provide, good or bad. As you take the responsibility to be the captain of your vessel, your body, you control how the ship sails, interacts, and what your final results will be.

We must learn to let our body guide our choices. There are consequences to poor eating habits such as high LDL (bad) cholesterol, low HDL (healthy) cholesterol, a fatty liver, inflammation in your arteries, higher risk of aging arteries that cause memory loss, heart disease, and even wrinkles and saggy, sallow skin and of course, the unwanted weight gain. I want provide the knowledge and the education necessary for your body to guide you to the right choices—automatically, without thinking about them—so that they’ll lead to the results you want. Yes, it will take some effort at the beginning to retrain your habits, palate, and muscles, but this program will serve as a lifelong eating, activity and behavior plan that will become as routine as the life you are currently living. What you currently know got you to who you are today. If you are happy with the results, perfect. You don’t need this, however, if you find yourself wondering where or when the love handles decided to take up residence in your waist line, why your body couldn’t regulate your fluid levels requiring you to take blood pressure medications or simply that what’s reflecting back from the mirror you are looking at isn’t giving you the satisfaction that it once did, then join me in this highly educational program this month on Fitness Arts facebook page. Even if you decide not to start this month, you will reap the benefits of years worth of research and education on how to create a healthy body. Choose to be healthy. No one else will do it for you. It begins with knowledge.
