Here we go! Drink shakes every 3 hours/5 times a day for two to seven days or more. If you started your fast today, congrats! If you plan to start tomorrow, great! The first two days I think are the hardest because food is such an addicting substance. We use food for more than nutrition. It comforts us when we are sad, lonely, bored, angry, happy, etc. The list goes on and on. By fasting you will re-establish your relationship with food. We should eat because we are hungry. Food cannot help us with emotions issues.

Basically, you will be drinking a complete meal replacement shakes every 3 hours for the next two to seven days. First two days are tough. After the third day, you settle into it.

Ingredient list for a shake

  • ¼ cup of Brooming Powder
  • 1 tsp flax oil
  • ½ tsp EFA Oil
  • Apple Juice
  • Water

The most important aspect of a fast is that you don’t eat so that your digestive system can take a break.

Daily Essentials

  1. Plan and prepare your 3-5 meal replacement shakes.
  2. If you are not planning to fast but want to continue to detox,  follow the following plan: Liquid meal for breakfast, Solid meals for lunch– 4 oz of protein and several cups of veggies (raw or cooked), and either a liquid or Solid meal for dinner (you will lose more weight if you replace a meal replacement shake at lunch or dinner).
  3. Leave a twelve hour window between the last meal of one day and the first meal of the next.
  4. Make sure you have a daily bowel movement. If this isn’t happening, use 5 capsules of PR Labs/Laxagen.
  5. Drink 4 liters of water. Yes, you will pee more often. If more than one hour passes without peeing, you are not drinking enough water.
  6. Incorporate more movement into your day. Walk, take the stairs, jump, incorporate movement  into your day as often and for as long as you can.
  7. Sleep and rest. Minimum of 5 continuous hours of sleep every night.
  8. Five minute medication practice. Clean your mind and emotions as you clean your body.
  9. Daily enemas while you are fasting only. Otherwise 1-2 times per week.
  10. Dry skin brush. Spend a few minutes removing dead skin cells before you shower.
  11. Hot-cold treatments. In the shower, use alternating hot and cold water to power up circulation and detoxification.
  12.  Massage/Body Work. Schedule a session each week if you can. Call or email Fitness Arts.
  13.  Journal. Keep a log of what you eat
